OBITUARY
Clarence Wendell (Chuck) Lingard was born May 21st, 1947, in Norwich, Connecticut. He was the beloved son of the late Mondell and Adrene Murdaugh-Lingard. Early on Friday morning, April 12th, 2024, Clarence was called from labor to eternity.
Clarence received his formal education in the public schools of Norwich, Connecticut. He earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Computer Science from Central Connecticut State College.
He met the love of his life, Armenta Willoughby and they were married on July 11, 1972.
Clarence served in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Staff Sergeant E-6, after twenty years of service, which included a tour in Vietnam.
He was a member of the Chesterfield Branch of the NAACP and a member of the American Legion.
Clarence was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Though he is no longer physically with us, his loving and kind spirit will forever live in the hearts and lives of all who loved and knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Rejoicing in his beautiful memories are: a daughter, Sharon Weber; son, Darryl Byrd; grandson, Randolph (Randy) Weber; sister, Vivian Lingard and nephew, Jonathan-Lingard-Johnson; five aunts, Erma Holloway, Daisy (Donald) Clark, Dorothy Seymore, Learlene Murdaugh and Mellouise Murdaugh; two loving and dedicated friends, Jim and Sarah Barber; and numerous other relatives and friends.
