Bertina Denise (Neicey) Ford

Bertina Denise (Neicey) Ford, daughter of Katherine Harris and Alexander Rogers, was born on May 04, 1952, in Wilmington Delaware. She departed this life peacefully, at home, on April 07, 2021.

Neicey received her education in the public school system in Patrick, SC and Wilmington, Delaware. She was employed in food and hospitality services for most of her life. She was also a member of Harrison Memorial Baptist Church. Neicey enjoyed spending time playing cards, word find puzzles and countless hours of watching the Steve Wilko Show. She loved her grandchildren greatly and they loved her. They referred to her as “Grandmom Neicey”.

Neicey was preceded in death by her mother, Katherine (Bigmama) Harris; her husband, Hurbert Lee Ford Sr., her son Hurbert Lee Ford Jr.; 7 siblings, Wendell, Joyce, George, William “Piper”, Leona “Colgail” Harris, Willine “Bunky” Harper, and Carolyn Wing.

She leaves behind, to cherish her memories, her one and only child, Lamont Ford (Amelia), her grandchildren Indeya Chavis, Tremir and Trent Ford, Chakira Generette; step grandchildren Yazmin, Kevin, and Kemar Bright, sisters Deborah, Shirley, Rachel (Al), Cassandra, Gail Rogers, Leslie Mitchell, Elizabeth Rogers, Sherry McKinney, Sandra McKinney, brothers Wilbert and Bernard Harris, David McKinney, Alexander Rogers, a host of nieces, nephews, and other family relatives.  Services are rendered by Flemming Funerals-Chesterfield.
